See My Belly!

See my Belly!!! Just like everyone else- I love to sleep on my back with my belly up in the aire! too

Saturday Momma and Kelly took me to the beach. Momma said that I needed to learn how to swim! As you know dad is out of the country so mom has been doing lots of stuff to keep busy. So we packed up the car and drove to Cape San Blas. It was so cool- except I am afraid of WATER!! It is so scary and dangerous looking- I didn't even want to get my feet wet. Momma even tried giving me a treat to get into the water- didn't fall for that one. Momma kept saying that I was bred to swim or something. Something about catching otters??!!?? What's an otter?

The beach was the only place that momma could think of to take me swimming. All the other places she knows of won't let doggies swim or there are alligators.

I may not like water but I love SALT water! As soon as Miss Kelly sat down on the beach I started to lick and pull her hair. That was a great game! I don't think Miss Kelly liked it because she told me she had to wash her hair three times to get all the sand out!!!!! My other favorite part about the beach is digging in the sand. I buried momma's shoes in less than 5 minutes. On the ride back, I put those legs up and fell asleep in the back seat of the car. Boy was I tired. I snored all the way home.

P.S. Momma took pictures of us at the beach but it was with one of those old fashined camera with something called film. She says we have to wait until it is all done before we can see the pictures.

I also want to thank my new friends Maggie (and Mitch) the airedale and Putter the airedale for their kind words about Saffie. We still have not seen or heard anything about Saffie. We keep hoping that one day she will show up and be home with us.

My first Day with my new family

Hello Everyone!
Today was a good day for me. I was able to romp around and play. I was a little tired because I had puppy class last night. I am a "A" student- the teacher told me so. I learned that I am not afraid of a tunnel- I might even start agility classes. What do you think? Both my sister Saffie and I have graduation from our classes next week. Saffie is taking the "Manners & More" class. Mom said that Saffie was a terror before she started these classes... but is a great dog now.

Before I came to my new family, my mother was a little obsessed with the blot of those other great airedales- Bogart, Sunshade, Jaffa, Maggie (one of her favorites) + Mitch. She had been told that an airedale would make a perfect addition to the family. But then, alas, she couldn't find one to adopt! That's why she kept looking at the pictures and them. And wishing to have one! Then one day she found a website with a breeder practically at her door step.

She called the breeder- and I was ready to come home! Mom & Co. came to the house and there were four of us 13 left. They picked me because I had the smallest feet and most independent spirit. (That means I was off playing with a ball and ignoring them).

We got strawberry milkshakes on the way home and I fell asleep in my new dad's lap. They put me in a box which I liked and I slept the whole night......
